How We Use the Information
We may use the Information you provide about yourself to fulfill your requests for our products, and/or to communicate with you, such as via an online newsletter, on a social media network, or via direct email.
If you place an order on this website, some personal information will be stored within this website’s database. Among this data are: name, surname, email, address, postal code, city, country. Please note that this data is solely collected for the purpose of providing the Services required by you, and failure to provide certain personal information may make it impossible for KIT690 to provide its Services. This is currently the only occasion where personal data will be stored on this website.
All collected data is currently stored in an identifiable fashion; a limitation of the content management system that this website is build on (WordPress). In the near future we aim to change the storage of this data to a pseudonymous fashion meaning that the data would require additional processing using a separately stored ‘key’ before it could be used to identify an individual. Pseudonymisation is a recent requirement of the GDPR which many web application developers are currently working to fully implement. We are committed to keeping it as a high priority and will implement it on this website as soon as we are able to. Meanwhile, we take reasonable security measures to protect your information, including the use of physical, technical and administrative controls. Please understand, however, that while we try our best to safeguard your personal information once we receive it, no transmission of data over the Internet or any other public network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You need to take precautions to protect the security of any personal information that you may transmit over any home networks, wireless routers, wireless (WiFi) networks or similar devices by using encryption and other techniques to prevent unauthorized persons from intercepting or receiving any of your personal information. You are responsible for the security of your information when using unencrypted, open access or otherwise unsecured networks.
Your personal data will remain on this site until we see fit to remove it. Should you wish to have your personal data deleted, please email us using the email address that you ordered with.
If you are under 16 years of age you MUST obtain parental consent before placing an order on our website.
When you contact us using the contact form on our Contact page, none of the data that you supply will be stored by this website or passed to / be processed by any other third party data processor. Instead, the data will be collated into an email and sent to us over the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP). Our own SMTP servers are protected by TLS (sometimes known as SSL) meaning that the email content is encrypted using SHA-2, 256-bit cryptography before being sent across the internet. The email content is then decrypted by our local computers and devices. However, not all mail servers are secured in such a way. Therefore, we would suggest that you always consider email as an insecure medium and not include personal, confidential or otherwise sensitive information within an email.
Social Networks and Platforms
If you choose to sign up to our email newsletter, the email address that you submit to us will be forwarded to MailChimp who provides us with email marketing services. We consider MailChimp to be a third party data processor. MailChimp is based in the USA and is EU-U.S Privacy Shield compliant.
The email address that you submit will not be stored within this website’s own database or in any of our internal computer systems. Your email address will remain within MailChimp’s database for as long as we continue to use MailChimp’s services for email marketing or until you specifically request removal from the list. You can do this by unsubscribing using the instructions contained in any email newsletter that we send you, or by requesting removal via email.
