Features a leak-proof single piece rotary molded housing, 6061 Billet Aluminum mounting plates, Stainless fasteners and Quick-Change filter retention system. The filter element is manufactured in the USA by Uni-Filter according to Powercell Performance’s own specifications, and it features a patented dual stage oil impregnated foam. The proven quarter turn Quick Change design allows complete filter swaps in under 30 seconds. In addition to superior filtering and simplified service, this airbox utilizes the latest air temperature sensor and velocity stack design, improving throttle response and reliability.
Installation note: Early model bikes require extending the ATS (Air Temperature Sensor) cable to reach the relocated sensor now located at the far rear of the airbox. KTM chose to relocate the ATS in later model bikes to prevent oil buildup on the sensor from the crankcase ventilation system. We highly recommend this modification to prevent false intake temperature readings which can lead to a lean running condition. Included in the Early Model Kits is an extended ATS cable, a pair of Raychem Solder Sleeves, a new tuned factory velocity stack and stainless mounting clamps.
